Eva Annika Backstrom, LGPC

Annika graduated with a Bachelor of Education in Child and Youth Education from Malmo University in Sweden. After working as a nanny for over 10 years in the U.S., she continued her educational journey at Loyola University in MD and graduated with a Master of Science in Clinical Psychology. As a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor, she works primarily with adults who are experiencing difficulties in life, and are seeking a way to improve their well-being. She has mainly counseled individuals dealing with depression, anxiety and relationship challenges, utilizing modalities such as CBT and DBT-informed approach. She has a new found interest in helping individuals who are experiencing phobias and OCD. Annika is currently working as a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor under the supervision of Elizabeth A Dolan.
